Aknicare for Acne

My skin has always been clear...no blemishes, no acne, no pimples...

One day I started breaking out...at first I thought it was just one pimple...

When 1 week past and the pimples became more I decided to see a dermatologist at the skin clinic UK...

They offer a free consultation for most of their treatments..which gave me the chance to discuss the best treatment option for me.

Firstly...the doctor placed my head into a machine (forgot the name of it)..what it did was that it showed where new pimples were forming, the location of dead skin cells on your face and whether I had oily skin (which I definitely had)....

The doctor then advised me to go for for a cream called Aknicare. I bought 3 products of this band.

I will show you this in steps now

1) Glycolic Oily Skin Facial Wash- I use this product first every morning...however..... if I feel it gets too much I skip it...

2) Aknicare Lotion- This I use only when I see a pimple becoming large. This helps to reduce new pimples forming and so far it has really worked for me. 

3) Aknicare Cream- In my consultation the doctor told me to use this in combination with the Aknicare Lotion. I would not recommend that since I only use the lotion when my pimple is getting bigger.

General Review

At first I was really unsure about these products as they seemed a bit too overpriced for my liking.

Also, the doctor told me that in my first week of using these products I will break out more...I did not like the sound of that at all. I used these products every morning and night... 

After using the products for a week I skipped the lotion and only used it when I really needed it..since this makes a pimple break out first before it vanishes. 

Pros

1) My skin felt really smooth after using it for 2 weeks.

2) The oily products controlled the shine on my face 

3) If I do have a pimple now I just apply the lotion...it gets rid of it in around 2-3 days..also...the remaining brown mark (after the pimple has cleared) is much smaller and fades faster.

Cons

1) After using all 3 products..my skin feels really dry and the cream does not make up for that...the lotion adds extra dryness to your face. 

           Solution for that: Every time my skin feels extra dry I put on E45 cream (which is very rich) on the areas that are extra dry like between my brows and on my nose. This was recommended from my dermatologist....Also, what you can do is you use the Aknicare cream..let it dry..and then apply another layer of cream but this time only to the area of your face where it is extra dry.
